Finding the perfect wedding outfit is no easy feat – especially when the big day takes place during the height of summer. But it doesn’t need to be this way. In fact, hot-weather nuptials provide plenty of opportunity to pack in personality and play with bright colours, bold prints and breezy fabrics. Whether you’re heading to a beachside event in the Balerics or a sun-soaked ceremony in the city, find men’s summer wedding outfit ideas in this guide.

Summer weddings tend to be less formal than their cold-season counterparts, so instead of a two-piece suit, why not lean towards mix-and-match separates? Try slipping a cool, short-sleeved cotton T-shirt under your blazer, for example, or a collarless shirt with tailored trousers sans jacket. Polo shirts may not traditionally be something you reach for when it comes to wedding attire, but a less formal dress code leaves room for experimenting with those, too. Think of tucking the boxy silhouette of a Fear of God velour polo into tailored trousers. When it comes to men’s summer wedding outfit ideas, another great sartorial starting point is a bright statement shirt, which works particularly well for far-flung destinations. The trick here is to choose one that won’t steal the spotlight from the wedding party but will stand out against a sea of guests wearing classic suits and neutral colours. Few do colourful printed shirts like Casablanca. The Parisian label has a slew of short-sleeved, Cuban-coloured versions that pair well with sharply tailored trousers and won’t look out of place within your holiday wardrobe after the wedding.
