Eva Langret
I FIRST CONNECTED WITH ART...

“As a child. I used to regularly visit museums in Paris with my mother and paint with my grandmother, who was an amateur artist and used to paint landscapes.”

FRIEZE LONDON IS UNIQUE BECAUSE...

“The fair has a 20-year history of feeding off the trailblazing energy of London’s art ecosystem. London is where the global art world comes together to innovate.”

A WELL-CURATED EXHIBITION...

“Captures and reflects the spirit of the artist and connects with the viewers’ imaginations.”

MY EARLIEST MEMORY OF SELFRIDGES IS WHEN...

“Samuel Fosso performed in the windows in London in 2005. It was the year that I moved to London, and the year of the Africa Remix exhibition at Hayward Gallery. One of Samuel Fosso’s photographs was the cover of the exhibition catalogue, which had a profound impact on me as a young curator.”

THE EXHIBITION I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IS...

“Julienknxx at Barbican Curve and El Anatsui’s new Tate Modern Turbine Hall commission.”
