GENTLE MONSTER Men

The GENTLE MONSTER collection for men spotlights the Korean label's experimental aesthetic. Hankook Kim founded it in 2011 after spotting a gap in the market for eyewear catered to Asian facial structures. Although he had no previous fashion experience, he came up with oversized frames with a low nose bridge for an accommodating, comfortable fit. The design proved hugely popular, and the ubiquitous brand now offers a variety of styles – including slender oval shades.

GENTLE MONSTER men's sunglasses remix classic designs with a forward-thinking bent. Colour-pop details and two-tone palettes update sleek shapes, such as aviator and square frames. Expect a dose of exaggeration, resulting in generous proportions and super-narrow silhouettes. Chunky acetate styles create a bold look, while slim, wire frames give retro inspirations a futuristic makeover. Logos on the temples complete each pair, each of which comes presented in a branded case with a serial number as a mark of authenticity.
