Fela & Friends

When mum Femi struggled to find the right doll for her daughter Fela, she decided to take matters into her own hands – literally. She believed that it's important for children to have dolls that reflect who they are, and so she launched a collection of inclusive handmade dolls for girls and boys. Thus, the Fela & Friends range began.

With different skin tones and various hair colours to choose from, these ethnically diverse dolls help children see themselves in a positive light. "I believe that representation is a key part of how children grow and see themselves, and I believe all children should see themselves reflected positively in the world they live in", says Femi.

The collection of culturally diverse dolls began with five friends but is growing rapidly. Each doll stands at 30 cm tall and is handmade in the UK. Your fabric doll will come stuffed with a polyester fibre filling and finished with merino wool. As for their outfits, they're made from fun materials such as colourful Ankara fabric and soft denim.

These cute companions are suitable for gentle play, though supervision is recommended for children under the age of three. They're ideal for gifting, collecting or simply to add a splash of personality to a nursery or bedroom.
