French perfumer, Pierre Montale, was first inspired by the aromas of the Eastern world over 20 years ago during a visit to its regions. When he returned home to France he set about trying to capture the mystery and richness of its smells and launched his first collection in 2003. 

The sweet and earthy notes of oud are a regular occurrence in Montale Paris perfumes. Alongside them, light rose, delicate patchouli and airy lavender are often on offer, bringing a romantic floral layer to scents. While deep musk, worn leather and warm amber give the base an intoxicating effect.
