This Pauillac is a Premier Grande Cru Classe by Chateau Latour, a wine producer situated off the Pauillac commune on the border of Saint-Julien and perhaps one of the most famous in Bordeaux. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot (you'll often find these two hand-in-hand), this 1999 vintage is rich with dried fruit and smoky complexity alongside mineral, blackcurrant and vanilla. Go for beef and lamb as a pairing.
