It might seem counterintuitive given the electric nature of this season’s signature hue, but Pierpaolo Piccioli’s intention for AW22 at Valentino was to re-focus the viewer on the subtleties of silhouette. By swathing each and every piece in Pink PP (the newly created Pantone shade), he removed distraction. Take this jacket as proof.
