Alighieri crafts pieces brimming with mystical charm – think of them part jewellery, part modern talisman. Rosh Mahtani founded the label in 2014 to guide her through a difficult time, inspired by the opening of Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy", where the narrator finds himself lost in a dark wood. From here, Mahtani crafted work that references this tale and turned them into contemporary heirlooms. 

The designer often looks to her childhood for inspiration, drawing on memories of collecting stones when living in Zambia. Combined with an admiration for imperfections, this influence results in unique pieces that are made to look perfectly imperfect. Handcrafted at the brand's HQ, Alighieri necklaces are sculpted in wax before being cast into bronze or silver. The chains in our collection are composed of 24-carat gold-plated brass and silver, with engraved pendants that act as charms for protection. Our Alighieri earrings range from crescent-moon silhouettes to classic hoops and are detailed with beaded trims, asymmetric designs and a uniquely textured finish. The label is also part of our Project Earth selection thanks to its planet-conscious recycled materials like gold-plated bronze and brass and local production processes.
