IN CONVERSATION WITH DANA THOMAS

We invited Dana Thomas, the author of 'Fashionopolis: The Price of Fast Fashion and the Future of Clothes' for a candid discussion exploring the sustainability movement and why it is imperative that fashion goes truly green. In this discussion, we explored how the fashion cycle has negatively impacted humanity and the planet, why that impact is an immense problem, and what businesses and consumers can do to correct this.

FUTURE SOLUTIONS WITH THE INSTITUTE OF DIGITAL FASHION

URL is the new IRL but digital is not just a quick fix for the now — it is a tool of expansion to create a more inclusive, democratic and sustainable fashion industry. In celebration of Project Earth, we teamed up with The Guardian to host a panel of experts – including Orsola de Castro, Christopher Raeburn and Aja Barber – to discuss how we can ethically navigate the future of fashion and consumerism against the backdrop of the climate emergency and in the wake of a global pandemic. The panel was hosted by The Guardian’s Fashion Editor, Jess Cartner-Morley who proposed the question – is a new sustainable form of consumerism possible?
