This experimental label launched its first groundbreaking range of strappy lingerie and bodywear in 2009. Combining expert craftsmanship with designs that draw on themes of seduction and domination – and achieving a balance between lingerie and clothing – Bordelle's sensual silhouettes are designed to set pulses racing. The brand is the brainchild of Alexandra Popa, who created it after realising there was a gap in the market for luxury underwear catering to the bondage aesthetic. She aimed to "ignite the lingerie industry with a touch of controversial kink". In our selection, expect plenty of semi-sheer fabrics, metallic detailing, buckles and open-cup styles. From glow-in-the-dark harnesses to pieces with all-over adjustable strapping, there's a firm emphasis on playfulness here.
