Parfums de Marly blends the past and present to create its olfactory delights. Since 2009, founder Julian Spencer has combined traditionalsavoir-faire with audacious compositions. The perfumer evokes eighteenth-century French splendour by taking inspiration from the extravagance of Château de Marly – Louis XIV's recreational home. The house was dubbed the 'perfumed court' because its fountains and visitors' accessories were often doused with heady scents.
