Domaine Leflaive’s roots in France’s Burgundy region stretch back to 1717 but it wasn’t until 1990 when Anne-Claude Leflaive took the helm that the vineyard started eschewing chemical fertilisers in favour of a more organic approach. Now a pioneer of biodynamics in the region, it blends the 2017 Bourgogne Blanc from chardonnay grapes sourced from old and young vines which are then fermented in oak casks. The result: a nutty, citrus nose with hints of wood smoke.
