The story of Kusmi tea begins in 1867, when 14-year-old Pavel Michailovitch Kousmichoff began working as a delivery boy for a tea merchant. He started to create his own unique blends of tea, which the tea merchant noticed – and then presented him with a tea shop as a wedding present. The business expanded rapidly but remained family-run until it was taken over in the late 1900s. 

Kusmi tea retains all of the artisanal character of years gone by. Constantly seeking to experiment, Kusmi makes drinking tea an entire experience.
