MATTE LIP KIT

When Kylie launched her collection back in 2015, her debut Matte Lip Kits sold out in less than a minute. To this day, they still fly out – and with good reason. The kits include a highly pigmented matte liquid lipstick and matching lip liner so you can create a precise shape and high-impact colour that stays put for up to eight hours. Yes, Kylie Jenner (and the Kardashian clan) are big on contour – so as you’d expect, her bronzer is a bestseller in the US. The fine pressed powder comes in six skin-true shades that range from 100 Khaki (a golden bronze) to 600 Almond (a deep chestnut) to add a sun-kissed glow or soft definition to the skin, depending on where you apply it. Everything is vegan and I made sure we didn’t sacrifice quality, pigmentation or performance. We gained exclusive access with Kylie Jenner to ask her about her love of make-up, her own beauty icons, and her favourite products from the collection.

My inspiration behind Kylie Cosmetics is…

My love for make-up. Being able to bring my own vision to life and share them with the world has been something I’ve really enjoyed doing. In creating this new line, we wanted to achieve high-quality standards while making sure everything is vegan without making a compromise on pigmentation or performance.

I first discovered I loved make-up when…

I’ve loved make-up from a really young age. As soon as my parents started letting me wear make-up, I was experimenting with different looks.

My own beauty icons are…

My mum and my sisters. I’ve always looked up to them and I think the way each of them expresses themselves through their beauty looks is so cool.

My go-to make-up look is…

I love a full glam look but since becoming a mum I’ve really embraced a more subtle look on days when I’m not working or shooting with just some concealer, a nude matte lip and brow highlighter.

I’m feeling confident. I think it's important to be able to express yourself and be proud of who you are. There’s nothing more beautiful than that!

My ride-or-die product from the collection is…

My Matte Lip Kits have always been our most popular products, and we reformulated it to meet our clean standard without compromising the pigmentation. It's so comfortable on the lips and is long-lasting with a budge-resistant 8-hour wear time. I love my new High Glosses and we brought back some favourite gloss shades that we have never had in High Gloss formula before – 18 shimmer and opaque shades. I also love how soft my new blushes and bronzers are on the skin.
