THE SELFRIDGES GUIDE TO:

MILAN

With Milan Fashion Week enjoying something of a renaissance, our in-the-know creative team is on hand with their must-visit guide to Italy's style hot spot.

VIA PASQUALE SOTTOCORNO

If you only do one thing in Milan, head straight to Via Pasquale Sottocorno. On this street, you can go to Giacomo Bistrot for your evening aperitivo, Ristorante Da Giacomo for dinner, and Tabaccheria Giacomo for your morning espresso and pastry. Each venue is wonderfully ornate, with an old-world feel, and 100 per cent authentic.

LA TRIENNALE DI MILANO DESIGN MUSEUM

Wander through La Triennale and take in an exhibition - the current 'Women in Italian Design' show examines the evolving approach to design throughout the 20th and 21st century.

L'INCORONATA

For an intimate dinner off the beaten track, opt for L'Incoronata. The menu is simple, delicious and changes frequently, and the décor is classic and homely - but don't expect much legroom; it's really tiny!

LA RINOMATA GELATERIA

For an ice-cream shop that looks like part of the set of a Wes Anderson film, look no further than La Rinomata Gelateria. Once you've got your ice cream, head for a stroll along the canal.

CARLO E CAMILLA

Visit Carlo e Camilla to sit and take in the breathtaking space – the cocktails are to die for, too.
