Vincenzo Abbruzzese’s magnificent
Brunello is finally receiving the full credit it deserves as one of
Montalcino’s finest. The relatively small estate was bought by the present owner’s grandfather, Martini Bramante, in 1953 and sits in the cool Montosoli area north of Montalcino where the Sangiovese vineyards enjoy perfect growing conditions. With low yields and long aging potential, Valdicava Brunellos are increasingly being recognized as highly collectable wines. Complex and elegant, this Brunello offers notes of leather, dark chocolate, bitter cherry, tobacco leaf and savoury spice, all wrapped up with fine tannins.
