Lifelong friends Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty founded their Sydney-based label
Song for the Mute in 2010 with the idea of sharing “narratives told with exceptional fabrics and experimental process” – that translates as deconstructed and avant-garde, which is exactly how we’d describe this jacket. Rendered in a wool-blend, it’s pieced together with purposefully raw hems and frayed edges and an asymmetric hem. We think it’s best layered over a midi skirt.
