Because throwback favourites – scrunchies, headbands, hair clips, barrettes, giant earrings, visor sunglasses, pastel bags – aren’t just back, they’re everywhere we turn.

Perhaps it’s our decade’s obsession with the past (hello throwback Thursdays, endless film remakes, nostalgia-filled social media), and a reaction to the normcore trend that’s dominated our wardrobes, but these effortlessly feminine accessories are pulling at our heart strings again.

It’s a wry smile to the seriousness of minimalism. A riposte to unflattering trackies and ugly ‘Dad’ sneakers. A fist pump to femininity.
