Streets ahead

The most-hyped brands. The latest drops. The names you need to know.
We’ve taken a tour of our Designer Street Room at Selfridges London to pinpoint the freshest styles for summer.

Kenzo - hoody (coming soon) and coat, Obey - T-shirt, Pacsun - jeans, Undercover - necklace, Ambush - keychain, Nature of Reality - sunglasses

Fluro fever

From Kenzo to OFF-WHITE, fluro colours are brightening up the summer, whether it’s a vivid pink Gucci Rhyton trainer, the glint of a Balenciaga neon T-shirt under a grey hoody, or flashes of green piping – as seen on this perfect summer-showers coat.

Obey - hoodyvest and cap, Ralph Lauren - trousers, Calvin Klein - socks, Saloman - trainers (available in store at Selfridges London)

Obey the master

Founded by street artist and activist Frank Shepard Fairey, Obey continues to be a refreshing voice in the world of streetwear (with even fresher looking tees, hoodies and sweats). Provocative, positive and bold – this is a brand made for 2019.

Tommy Jeans - hoody and jacket

Go (Hil)figer

From recent collabs with Coca-Cola to basketball-inspired styles and patchwork finishes (which are about as on-point as neon right now), Tommy Hilfiger is where to head for denim styles that feel just right for now.

Ambush - necklace and T-shirt

Tie-guy

From rave culture to the skate park, tie-dye finishes have always been synonymous with free-spirited rebellion, and this season they’re everywhere, giving a welcome shot of colour to our wardrobes. Our favourite styles come from Ambush, Palm Angels and 424. We say wear the styles oversized with chunky jewellery.

Pacsun - shirt and shorts, Polo Ralph Lauren - T-shirt, Calvin Klein - socks, Acne Studios - sunglasses, Nike - trainers

Just dropped: Pacsun

Exclusive to yours truly in the UK, Pacsun has arrived at Selfridges. Expect splashes of fluro, distressed prints and all you need to, well, pack for the sun. You might not be heading to California this summer, but at least you can dress the part.

Fear of God - hoody and T-shirt, Pacsun - jeans, Undercover - necklace, Calvin Klein - socks, Maison Margiela - trainers

///

FOMO on FOG?

Don’t miss out on the latest Fear of God collection (after all, it doesn’t tend to stick around for long). Featuring bold deconstructed workwear pieces, plus its line of everyday logo essentials, this is where the styles of ‘90s grunge and hip-hop meet.

Stussy - capshirt, T-shirt, Ambush - necklace

///

Trending: Stussy

It’s been around since the ‘80s, but Stussy is riding high right now. Why? Well it’s got over four decades of authentic skate and surf styles behind it, and now the brand is exploring more artistic prints (ideal for a ride in our in-store skate bowl at Selfridges London, don’t you think?)

Ralph Lauren - T-shirtjacketshirt and trousers, Kith - socks (available in store at Selfridges London), Vans - trainers

///

American beauties

This season Ralph Lauren has pulled out all the stops, elevating its preppy styles with a subtle grunge edge, from retro varsity jackets to classic American plaid…Think the American football player who listens to Nirvana at full volume on the bus home. Wear with casual kicks and sports socks.
