Back in 1904 when Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont was struggling to tell the time from the cockpit, his dear friend Louis Cartier set to work; who could have known that he would create one of the first-ever timepieces? Fast-forward to today and the watch is still as revolutionary as ever – the Santos-Dumont watch is crafted from polished stainless steel and set on a smooth leather strap, with Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands to boot.
