La Gabare is fast approaching its 30th birthday; the cognac house was founded in 1992 by Jean Grosperrin. Almost a century after they were created, 250 bottles of early 19th century cognacs by Frédéric Mestreau which started producing the brandy in 1808 became available to purchase and this La Gabarre Mestreau Fine Champagne XO No 28 cognac is one of them. Blended from a mix of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, it marries sweet fruit aromas with leather and wood.
