Originally dedicated to sculpting, Harry Bertoia designed the
Diamond chair to mimic his artistic works, with its silhouette as a study in “space, form and metal”. By the hands of
Vitra, this mid-century design icon is miniaturised: the wire frame is bent out of a quadratic lattice forming a diamond shape that seems to hang in the air, fitted with a base of round iron to maintain the characteristics of its life-sized counterpart – just don’t sit on it.
