THE SET-UP
Can you take a joke? Who cares! You can buy one at Selfridges London. We’ve opened The Joke Shop on G, where you’ll find everything from traditional gags to designer bags, guaranteed to make you giggle. At The Joke Shop, nothing is as it seems, so expect pranks and surprises as you explore the space.
THE PUNCHLINE
No joke shop would be complete without plenty of witty and wonderful tricks. Alongside traditional joke-shop favourites (think whoopee cushions, bendy pencils and fake parking tickets), we’ve also teamed up with some of our funniest designer friends to bring you an array of comic collaborations and exclusive merch. There’s something for all the family at The Joke Shop, from pocket money purchases starting at 99p to tongue-in-chic pieces by serious designers.

THE CALLBACK
Knock knock… Who’s there? It’s The Joke Shop Manager, who will be on duty each weekend to introduce you to the silliness we have in store. He’ll be joined by a member of the Marvin’s Magic team who will be there to demonstrate new tricks and pranks. As always, Selfridges Unlocked Keyholders get the first (and last) laugh. Use your Selfridges Key to unlock exclusive access to the manager’s office – an immersive room filled with hidden gags and stunts. And once you’ve used your Key to gain access, you can feature in one of our iconic Selfridges windows.
There’s also fun to be had around the rest of Selfridges London. In both The Joke Shop and on the Art Block in the Accessories Hall on G, you’ll find Mel Brimfield’s ‘Slapstick Generator’ sculptures. One features a giant boulder, hanging perilously above our Concierge Desk – you can stand beneath it to take a photo (cue nervous laughter). And, if you’re inside Selfridges London and need help finding The Joke Shop, just follow the banana skins…
