Situated in Tuscany, Fontodi sits on 90 hectares of vinyard, 90% of which is dedicated to growing Sangiovese grapes in Panzano’s Conca d'Oro, or “golden shell” following biodynamic practices. Blended from the grapes, this Flaccianello della Pieve from 2017 is the brainchild of Giovanni Manetti who has overseen the domaine since 1980. Matured in barrique for 18 months and size in casks, it swirls with notes of black cherry, earthy leather, chocolate and plum with a hint of spice.
