Winemakers Gary Farr and son Nick are behind By Farr and from 33 acres in Geelong, 80 km southwest of Melbourne comes one of Australia's best Chardonnays. Gary has made wine in Australia (at Bannockburn) and Burgundy (he worked 10 vintages at Domaine Dujac) since the early 1980s. Featuring lifted aromatics of wild flowers and liquorice, the palate has a rounded textured with plenty of fruit and a fine minerally-textured nose.
