La Perla has quite the heritage when it comes to silk. The label was founded in 1954 in the town of Bologna – a place renowned for its silk mills and textile factories – and today, its collections are still packed to the brim with slinky pieces like the Maison nightdress. Shaped to a sultry slip silhouette, its neckline is adorned with frastaglio lace hand embroidery – a traditional Florentine technique that can take up to two days to create. Sweet dreams…
