The Clos du Caillou estate has been around since 1895, and the owners of the Rhône vineyards have dedicated half of their land to côtes-du-rhône. An exceptionally memorable vintage, Le Caillou is a deep purple in colour with a good tannin structure. Delicately fruity on the nose, notes of red fruits, blackberry, gooseberry, Pyrenees cherry come out of the bouquet, with more cherries and blackcurrant jam building on the palate that lead to a very long finish.
