As the name suggests, the brand was founded - and is based - in the eponymous picturesque town on England's south coast. When Richard and Christina Ungaretti opened their shop there, The Dorset Maid, they were surprised to discover how difficult it was to stock it with luxury chocolate. So, they started making it themselves. In those early days, anyone who passed would glimpse a local woman making fresh batches in the front window, hand tempering and fork dipping each delicious morsel.  Although the team is much bigger today, their artisanal craft ethos remains. It's no wonder House of Dorchester chocolate can be found across the country's hotels and restaurants - as well as our own virtual shelves. Pick up a selection of truffles to round off a dinner party (if you can manage to keep them sealed). Bite through the delicate shell to find a melt-in-the-mouth centre in your favourite flavour, whether it's sea-salted caramel or floral gin.  Mark a birthday with an assortment of House of Dorchester fine chocolates in a special celebratory box.
