At what is locally known as “three country corner” (because the region borders both Switzerland and France), you’ll find Ziereisen. The estate is known for its German pinot noirs, and this Tschuppen is no exception. Strong bodied with plenty of minerality from the soil, this red has a dense tannin structure with a bouquet of red cherry fruit on the palate. If we were planning a dinner party or a special meal, we’d pair it with beef or game meat.
