The artisan footwear company started in 1954, with five craftsmen working on the ground floor of a house in Almansa, Spain, under the direction of Sebastian Blanco. His only child, Pascual, was just fourteen when he began developing the skill and patience required to make a superior pair of shoes. Pascual eventually succeeded his father as the company's Head Designer at age twenty.
