The rowers at Henley had already been racing for a few decades when
Arthur Price set up his silverware company not far away in Aston. There’s no official link between these two completely different but quintessentially British things, but we imagine the well-heeled attendees of the Royal Regatta were familiar with Price’s expertly-crafted flatware. In fact, we expect the well-heeled attendees of the Regatta still are today.
