Haven’t you heard? Rum is the new gin. And as one of the oldest spirit producers still in operation (est. in 1703), Mount Gay is at the forefront of the revolution. Full bodied, initially spicy and fruit-driven, this Pot Still edition is matured in virgin ex-whiskey casks. The resulting spirit packs a sweet punch with notes of butterscotch, toffee, mocha and plum on the nose. There are dried fruit hints undulating without, with a base of oak from the barrel. Better get the ice.
