Starting up his own ceramic factory in 1885,
Bordallo Pinheiro worked out how to translate his illustration skills into light-hearted collections of earthenware. This tart tray nods to the label’s Caldas da Rainha home (the same spot for over 130 years), as the Holly bush plays an important festive symbol during a Portuguese Christmas. Crafted from earthenware, it’s embossed with leaves and a basket texture. Set it out with mince pies surrounding glasses of eggnog.
