You won't find many bottles labelled with the Thibeaud-Maillet name: the vineyard is a tiny, family-owned property in Pomerol. Established in the 19th century, it now falls under the ownership of the Duroux family, recently taken over by Roger Duroux's daughter Genevieve after he finally retired at nearly 80 years old. Easily quaffable while young (though also able to age for a good 20 years should you desire) this wine is velvety, with notes of ripe fruit and a refined structure.
