Emilia Wickstead described her SS22 collection as “a melding of old-world and modern proportions”, inspired by the 1961 French film Last Year at Marienbad. Her unmistakably English and feminine aesthetic is demonstrated perfectly by pieces like the Talia dress. It’s shaped to a retro-inspired silhouette with a fitted bodice and flared, full skirt, then swathed in an abstract pattern inspired by a seascape all over.
