Château Cheval Blanc first obtained the status of Premier Grand Cru Classe A (the highest possible distinction of Saint-Emilion wines) in 1954, and is still bottling creations of an identically fine calibre to this day. The reputation precedes this 2011 vintage, too; characterised by its undeniable richness, it's made up of a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and just a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon that offers a complex nose of florals, raspberries and black cherries.
