Château Ducru-Beaucaillou produces its wines in the
St. Julien appellation of Médoc, in the South East vineyards near the village of Beychevelle. The ‘beautiful stones’ found in the clay and gravel-rich soils gave the vineyards their name, and they provide the perfect environment for growing cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes. This classic duo, dubbed ‘the Bordeaux blend’, benefits from the cabernet’s rich tannins and merlot’s juicy fruits.
