Just like the mainline, Homme Plisse Issey Miyake is the brainchild of the Japanese designer of the same name. For SS20, the creative uses the same iconic techniques that made the brand so renowned in ’88. Here, though, the founder tries his hand at painting and takes his cues from the traditional Japanese brushwork of yesteryear. Woven pleats play canvas to an abstract print which swathes this oversized coat with colourful aplomb.
