After working as a pattern cutter at Comme des Garçons, learning from Rei Kawakubo and Junya Watanabe, Chitose Abe founded
Sacai in 1999. In the following years, the Japanese label quickly garnered a loyal cult following thanks to its acute attention to technical details and innovative use of fabrics. The Taffeta jacket from the SS24 collection exemplifies that philosophy; pieced together from contrasting panels of mesh, wool, and shell, it features a double-breasted front with short bomber-style sleeves.
