Luxury brand Slip is home, says New York Magazine, to "the best silk pillowcase". Judging by the number of celebrity endorsements it's garnered (more than 150 at the last count), plenty of people are in enthusiastic agreement. So what's the secret?

The brand says it's all thanks to Slipsilk. This specially commissioned fabric was painstakingly developed over ten years to increase softness and reduce friction. For us, this means a snugglier night's sleep and, crucially, less chance of the dreaded bed head.

Because Slip uses the highest-quality silk available, its products are machine-washable too. The brand recommends using a delicates bag and washing at no more than 30°C to keep your pillowcases at their best.
