ELTON’S WORLD

Shop exclusive merch and celebrate the Rocket Man at The Corner Shop.
20 March to 15 April

What does it feel like to be backstage with one of the world’s most beloved musicians? Now you can experience the magic of Elton John’s world, exclusively at Selfridges London. To celebrate the UK leg of Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour, we’ve transformed The Corner Shop with luxurious velvet furniture, iconic archive looks and custom Elton-themed memorabilia.

VISIT ELTON'S

DRESSING ROOM

Elton John is as famous for his iconic sunglasses and sequinned outfits as he is for chart-topping songs. At The Corner Shop, we’re displaying three of Elton’s most legendary stage looks, including the ‘Birds of a Feather’ look from 1973, created by Bill Whitten’s Workroom 27, and the ‘Yellow Brick Road’ set by designer Annie Reavey. Also on show is the suit created by Hollywood tailor Nudie Cohn that Elton wore for his 1973 appearance on Top of the Pops.

At the centre of The Corner Shop sits a grand piano, a giant gold disco ball and a dressing table where you can try on Elton John Eyewear designs (and shop them too). Lining the walls are framed prints and photographs documenting the star’s illustrious career. To celebrate the forthcoming Honky Château 50th Anniversary Edition, The Corner Shop will also be the only physical retailer stocking the limited-edition gold LP version of the seminal album. Available on release day, 24 March, 100 signed gold vinyls will be available on a first come, first served basis.

We’ve come up with something special that celebrates the things I love – fashion, vinyl, live music, food and some beautiful design. I hope my fans love it as much as I do.

SHOP EXCLUSIVE

MERCHANDISE

Selfridges also doubles as an extraordinary tour merch store for Elton-inspired styles. Shop our edit of vintage Elton tour T-shirts curated by Not/Applicable, ‘The Bitch Is Back’ doormats and tongue-in-chic ‘More Elton’ tees from Christopher Kane’s More Joy. Joining them are pieces from KidSuper, Dr. Martens, Derek Rose, Olympia Le-Tan and Happy Socks. You can also purchase one of five reissued Richard James polka dot suits, the same one that Elton wore to perform with Eminem at the 2011 Grammy Awards.

On The Corner Shop rider? Champagne, of course. We’ve teamed up with Moët Hennessy on personalised bottles of Elton John bubbly – enjoy them with a piano-shaped box of custom Charbonnel et Walker truffles. Once you’re ready to pack up and head to the next stop on the tour, travel like a rockstar with bespoke FPM Milano luggage, created in honour of Elton’s Yellow Brick Road extravaganza.

Back home, add a touch of Elton with colourful Hype rugs and hand-painted Laetitia Rouget ceramics decorated with song titles. Or set the mood with cent.ldn’s boot-shaped candle, modelled on Elton’s signature platforms.

EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC

OF ELTON JOHN

If you missed out on the tour – or you just want more Elton magic – head to The Corner Shop to hear a soundtrack of the star’s best-loved songs and snap a photo at the grand piano. And to dive deeper into Elton’s body of work, book your spot for a screening of Oscar-winning biographical fantasy Rocketman in our cinema.
