DAILY PAPER

Contemporary streetwear meets cultural heritage in Amsterdam-based label Daily Paper. After starting what was originally a personal blog in 2008, creative trio Jefferson Osei, Abderrahmane Trabsini, and Hussein Suleiman decided to launch a brand that would pay homage to their African roots. Daily Paper clothing has since become a favourite of tastemakers around the globe, renowned for highlighting cultures that are largely underrepresented in the world of luxury fashion.

The menswear collection is dominated by athletic cuts with oversized proportions – layer them together for attention-grabbing style. Thoughtful decorative touches are what make these garments extra-special, such as bold patterns emblazoned across hoodies and jumpers, and textural detailing that enhances an otherwise understated pair of joggers. The Daily Paper logo – a modern interpretation of the Maasai shield – is another recurrent feature, and shows the importance of the founders' history.

Daily Paper fashion for women is similarly culture-driven. Sleek silhouettes are designed to highlight the form – look for bodysuits in traditional prints, or statement dresses that reflect the innovative flair of Afro-futurism. Offbeat fabric choices are a hallmark design element, leveraging the unexpected for maximum visual impact. Casual styles like T-shirts and matching tracksuit sets are enhanced by lavish textures, making your everyday wear 100% more indulgent (and who doesn't want that?).
