Operatic as ever, Pierpaolo Piccioli’s AW20
Valentino show saw florals planted left, right and centre. Meandering across shirts, cross-body bags and this double-breasted coat, graphic-print petals symbolise the designer's call for a renewed attitude to intricate detailing (if the designer has his way, the next generation will celebrate its sensitivities by ditching prior hang-ups about gendered florals). Crafted from a wool and mohair-blend, it's shaped with notch lapels and dropped shoulders to sign off.
