1861 is a pivotal year for Italy, and until now we could only imagine the scents that swept the palace in that year. Now Xerjoff launches its XJ 1861 collection, and the Renaissance eau de parfum along with it. A citrusy freshness takes hold of the scent, bursting with notes of tangerine, bergamot, lemon and petitgrain. Floral hints fill the core, all seated on a woody base of patchouli, cedar, amber and moss. Perhaps this is what filled the royal court.
