Canada Goose has been producing extreme-weather outerwear since 1957, and was founded in Toronto by Sam Tick. The founder's son-in-law, David Reiss, invented a volume-based down filling machine in the 1970s for warmth without bulk. Each ounce of down has approximately two million fluffy filaments that interlock and overlap, creating insulating pockets of air to keep you warm.
