Le Salette is well established as one of the leading producers in Valpolicella located in the very high quality sub-area of Fumane. Winemaker and proprietor Franco Scamperle is adamant that each wine must be allowed to express the character of the soil where the grapes were grown. Aged in a mixture of Slavonian oak and barrique, this Amarone is fresher than most, whilst still maintaining classic notes of bitter cherry, plums, coffee and chocolate.
