A SLICE OF HISTORY

A successful party has two key ingredients: a great guestlist and a great outfit. That’s why we’ve invited our favourite vintage-clothing curators to fill The Corner Shop with designer names and occasionwear pieces you won’t find anywhere else. Here you’ll meet the who’s who of fashion history, from Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld to iconic Versace designs and Tom Ford pieces from both his Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent days. Also included are ultra-rare styles from Prada, Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. Streetwear fans can browse an assortment of collab pieces from Palace, Supreme, Stüssy and more.

On bag duty, we’ve got pre-loved RESELFRIDGES classics from the likes of Fendi, Gucci, Chanel and Ferragamo, and sleek designer sunglasses to complete the look. Also included in the mix is Paris-based Germanier, whose upcycled creations have been worn by Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kristen Stewart and Björk.

SOMETHING SPARKLY

Alongside the clothes, visitors will be able to shop a selection of jewellery pieces – the perfect gift for someone special, or the finishing touch for your party outfit. Our RESELFRIDGES edit includes lab-grown diamonds from Skydiamond, recycled pieces from celebrity favourite Hatton Labs, vintage jewels from Chanel, Dior and Givenchy, and rare costume jewellery. For those with a special message, Hatton Labs will also be hosting a personalisation desk which will offer complimentary engraving on 8,10, 11, 17 and 18 December. If you have a 2023 proposal in mind, Skydiamond will be building environmentally friendly engagement rings using their sustainable gems.

SILVER SERVICE

Joining the fashion items in The Corner Shop is a selection of one-off homewares, including This Old Thing’s art-deco antiques and silver cocktail-making essentials. If you’ve ever wandered the halls of Selfridges’ Home department and thought: “Wow, I wonder what excellent tastemaker chose all this?”, you’ll be pleased to hear that our in-house expert has also turned her (second) hand to vintage. The brainchild of Eleanor Gregory, Selfridges’ Home Buying Manager, The Finical describes itself as ‘considered homeware and vintage selects for the particular and meticulous minded’. Expect a stylish assortment of pieces with a silver point of view.
