As far as brand histories go, Tudor’s is pretty action-packed. Conceived as the sister label to Rolex, it went to have an aquatic history as the make of choice for divers in the French navy. Drawing on its adventurous heritage and the gilded aesthetic of its flashy sibling, the Black Bay 41 Chrono S&G combines sporty functions – namely, a chronograph and 200m water-resistance – with the opulence of 18-carat yellow-gold inlaid in its dial and bracelet chain.
