Join The Stack World community at The Cinema at Selfridges for a series of screenings that show the full spectrum of emotions felt in motherhood, with the aim to create moments of connection and empathy through representation.
Enjoy an introduction by Sharmadean Reid MBE – founder of The Stack World – followed by a film screening with light drinks and refreshments. Children under two are welcome to join (pram and breasftfeeding facilites are available). Each ticket includes one ticket to the film with light drinks and refreshments.
Thursday 7 March: A Thousand and One

Friday 8 March: The Joy Luck Club
Based on the bestselling book, this 1993 adaptation explores complex relationships between Chinese-American mothers and daughters, delving into themes of cultural identity, generational divides, and the power of familial bonds.
Saturday 9 March: Ladybird
Ladybird follows Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson's senior year in high school, exploring her turbulent relationship with her mother, her aspirations to leave her hometown of Sacramento, and the journey of self-discovery that comes with adolescence.
