The project of Spanish winemaker Lauren Rosillo, who established his ‘mountain wine’ winery in 2006,
Sedella is located in the namesake town, at an altitude of 750 metres in the Sierras de Malaga. The 2.5 hectare vineyard is on steep slopes of slate and is worked manually by donkeys using Roman ploughs. The Mediterranean Sea can be seen to the south, and the often snow-capped peak of La Maroma mountain can be seen to the North. Made predominantly using the local variety of Rome, this wild herbal wine shows flavours of bright red cherry, dried plums, wild herbs and liquorice.
